Kody Brown Sister Wives Podcast Reality TV Recaps

SHIT TALK

WE ARE THE RUMOR MILL KODY HATES SO MUCH

In this hellscape we find ourselves, it’s asking way too much to have a little grace, and show some tact and maturity. As Ace and Katelyn remind us, “When they go low, we go lower.”
Hold onto your Frosty Nips– it’s time for Shit Talk, the podcast where low basically means bottomless. Sure it started with a little show called “Sister Wives,” but it’s grown to cover so much more. Do you like True Crime? We’ve got it, but our theories aren’t researched and we can’t tell you a lot of details. Early 2000s Nostalgia? Find a Fruitopia and your Hollister flip flops, and get ready to analyze Farrah Abraham getting the absolute shit slapped out of her by Deb. Bullying children? We will lay our lives down for Abby Lee Miller.
Husband and wife duo Ace and Katelyn Fanning bring the best reality tv has to offer in an honest take down of what we’re all thinking, with a little creative embellishing and character acting on the side. If you love good clean humor and giving television “stars” the benefit of the doubt, then get the fuck out because you will absolutely hate everyone and everything in this community.

WHAT OUR FANS ARE SAYING…

  • "DISGUSTING."

What killed it for me was making fun of Nathen for his Eye, I just can’t laugh, as 2 grown adults make fun of another man for a disability. You both sound like bullies on the playground. I don’t like the idea of cancel culture, but U2 got it coming.

  • "BAD."

Such a poor interpretation of what’s going on with the show. Making things up and being stupidly raunchy in the process.

    -Heard Enough

  • "Jeez!"

Listening for the first time today. 10 minutes in, does this guy ever let his wife talk? And when she does sneak a word in, he immediately shuts her down! Open the door sister and let that man out of the closet!

  • "JUST MEAN."

If you want to listen to two people be awful humans and mock people again again again, this is for you!

    -gnrhippie

  • "Over the top vulgar for no reason."

The constant fingering talk is over the top and just gross. I thought this podcast was funny at first but the hosts have gone off the rails and now they’re just being vulgar for shock value without actually being funny.

  • "EW."

Ace is so gross and his “comedy” bits are annoyingly juvenile and doesn’t know when to stop. Very low brow and tacky. I hope you read this on the show loser, kisses!

    -Mrs Ivanna Humpalot

  • "NOT GOOD."

Disappointing. Sophomoric and goofy in a bad way.

    -Deborahinnc

  • "STUPID"

“Ace is stupid and unnecessarily raunchy”

    -dsmouse

  • "LAME, GROSS!"

Hosts are loud and vulgar. Save your ears. He is absolutely gross and has zero couth. Talks about children horribly.

    -Winterfuzz55

  • "PATHETIC & ANNOYING"

I don’t know what’s worse….Ace TRYING to be funny or Kaitlyn laughing non stop. And disrespecting a dead woman by making fun of her hair loss just shows the childish mentality of the hosts.

THE PODCAST JOURNEY

Ace Fanning has never really known how to shut up (ask his former teachers!), and thankfully, he turned that into a career. Starting with his wildly vulnerable confessional show “Beyond the Secret,” Ace built a community by diving into the messy, uncomfortable, and painfully human corners of people’s lives — the stories most folks would take to the grave, he put into a podcast. From there, he and his (only) wife Katelyn took their talents for social commentary and pointed them straight at TLC, launching “Sister Wives: Love Should Be Multiplied Not Divided,” a weekly breakdown of the Brown family’s slow-motion shipwreck that somehow managed to be both unhinged and oddly therapeutic during one of the most chaotic and memorable points in Sister Wives history, as well as the world at large for its viewers (and their listeners).

What began as deep dives and episode recaps has now fully evolved into Shit Talk: a trashy, hilarious, and weirdly tight-knit universe where Ace and Katelyn recap their favorite reality TV past and present, and lovingly bully the people (and shows) that deserve it most. It’s NOT A CULT, but it is part cult following, part group therapy, part “did we really just say that out loud?” — and if you’ve ever wondered, “How do these producers get away with this shit?” you’re already one of us.

SHIT TALK MERCH

Unlike Tater Farms, our merch will stay in stock (but you won’t get the added fun of a mystery order of something you definitely did not buy). Featuring classic designs and limited-edition drops, we’ve got everything — and none of it requires signing up for a Lifestyle MLM on Facebook. Wanna flex your Trash Bag loyalty and your questionable spending habits? This is the place. Guaranteed to make the other parents on the playground (or wherever you’re forced to socialize) start asking questions — and reveal whether they’re friend material or someone you’ll happily avoid forever. Both outcomes: pretty great.

WHO ARE THESE LOW LIFES?

Ace Fanning is an Enneagram 4 who is married to a real live, human woman, you uncreative assholes. He is the only boy in a large family–which seems unimportant but actually provides the perfect context to his personality, and also explains how he’s somehow one of the most judgemental yet least toxic men alive. He’s been in exactly one fist fight, and frequently talks over Katelyn. His hair is thick and lucious, and he is also sharply observant of details that somehow matter both the most and least in any tv show, like the incongruity in time or location of shots.
A former photographer, Ace woke up one day with a dream, a Zoloft, and a twinkle in his eye when he realized he could stop posing sulky kids and disengaged dads, and start dragging Kody Brown and his wives for a living; truly the American dream. If there is a petty interpretation of a Brown family decision, a true crime theory, or a Housewives hot-take, Ace has already thought it, said it, and named the episode after it. His reality tv‑specific psychological profile probably deserves its own DSM appendix, and we are blessed he and Katelyn reach for their mics each morning so we can share the experience.

ACE

Katelyn Fanning is the wife, co-host, and Patron Mother of Shit Talk. She frequently talks over Ace, and is a fierce defender of decorating with neutrals and wearing all black. A product of the Arizona Public School System, Katelyn is known for flaunting her geography and Spanish immersion skills. She is also never wrong. About anything. EVER. Her takes on fashion and beauty, as well as her own personal style, is nearly flawless--except for maybe the homemade thongs in middle school.
When Ace approached Katelyn about starting a podcast covering Sister Wives, she went with it assuming the show was getting cancelled. Little did she know she would be forced on air five days a week–which may have started as her worst nightmare but hopefully has become her favorite job yet, even when that job requires her to join Self Help MLMs, lose both of her arms, and get openly scammed on Facebook Marketplace.
